Children of Sharing Village

Shadrac Lip-Sync (video) - During the short vacation, Shadrac James Deboma delighted the grownups with his "Kookoorookook" straight from the fields of their Botolan home, and other lip-sync antics with the untiring backup of eldest brother Stephen Matthew...

We thank Almighty God with the whole heart for this energy and all his expressions and gestures, even more because Shadrac James has suffered fevers of extremely high temperature and convulsions at just past a year old, which we continue to beseech healing for, helpful measures to know what help we should apply, and undoing of what his parents know to be inherited illnesses... for see how he smiles!

“Of old You laid the foundation of the earth,
And the heavens are the work of Your hands.
They will perish, but You will endure;
Yes, they will grow old like a garment;
Like a cloak you will change them,
And they will be changed.
But you are the same,
And Your years have no end.
The children of Your servants will continue,
And their descendants will be established before you.”

Delights of a Child

"Have Some Yoghurt, Shadrac!" (video) - The 1-year old has his first taste of yoghurt during a Sabbath morning when Tita Pres packed a picnic lunch...

“Little Children”

“Little Children” – throughout the Feast of Tabernacles 2009, the youngest in the Sharing Village family – Stephen, Miguel, Asher, Shadrac kept the sun shining through the rain, the careful nurturing of their parents reflected in their “sayings” and “doings” ...

Asher Sings for the First Time!

Asher Sings! (Part 1) - While waiting for his older brothers to finish guitar lessons, the normally bashful Asher Miguel pipes up with excerpts from..."Built Upon The Rock" and other songs he learned at home with his mother Analiz...

Asher Sings! (Part 2) - Haaahaha, watch how Asher checks his Mom with 'leary' instead of 'weary', and other gigil moments... (videos taken by Mia Perona-Cardona)

A Boy’s Week in Summer

Have a breath of fresh air from the eastern coast of these islands! Ralph Ian David Hipe trekked with his cousins, eyeing mushrooms, trees felled by the tropical storm Emong, clambering over rocks that circle his grandmother’s ricefields in Botolan, Zambales, where the river flows from Mount Pinatubo. In the meantime, younger sister Arielle, who stayed behind to continue piano lessons, was treated to a tour of as many bookshops and NBS shelves as she could. And those of us who were left behind toiling in the city, hauling equipment for the church office... (a bit too much good-natured sour-graping here :)... well, we consoled ourselves with Ralph’s pasalubong stories... and this montage he put together!

Books of the Bible, by Stephen and Miguel

Just a simple practice session with 'thunder brothers' Stephen Matthew and Juan Miguel Deboma after travelling hundreds of miles from their home in Botolan, Zambales to the opening of the Feast of Tabernacles 2008 at the Oring-ao Hall in Baguio City...

Sabbath Sunrise

“Hmmm... maybe someday we'll see Ralph Hipe play the violin with his sister Arielle at the piano...” but here they are, not someday, but there, on the Sabbath of July 19, in perfect harmony, guided by the scribbled notes in smudged colored ink written by Kuya Ralph in an actual music notebook! Their own short composition, “Sabbath Sunrise,” sandwiched between “A Mighty Fortress Is Our God,” and “Think On These Things” ...

Here’s a peek into how this brother and sister put together their precious offering to the Almighty God, as told by their mother, Vivian Hipe:

“3 weeks ago, Raul (their Dad) found Ralph and Arielle scribbling in a music notebook and picking notes on the keyboard...
