Spiralling winds of tropical storm Santi (intl: Mirinae) whistled in fury all night and early dawn on the Sabbath of October 31, all standing objects on the verge of being hurled. Great big hugs to all friends and family! By the mercies of the Eternal Loving God, here we are! Rejoiced through the Memorial of Blowing of Trumpets, Day of Atonement, Feast of Tabernacles, the Eighth Day, battered by two tropical storms ‘Ondoy’ and ‘Pepeng.’ What a joy to have sharper eyes, enduring stamina and warmer hearts from the ordeal. Hopefully we can begin to tell the stories that are worthwhile to be told. How were we to know that the Feast theme banner would not only capture what the year was, but what the two weeks before the Feast would still be? We’ll try to post videos and photos even if internet connections are still being repaired from where we are (PLDT informed us they were replacing older cables with fiber-optic lines, which explains non-existent wi-fi even in Baguio, and slower connections in the lowlands)...
The past two months brought peril of robbers, crises, affliction by prolonged illness while the Hipe family continuously ministered in household of the LORD, and He delivered them through it all. Our dedicated elder Raul was then able to offer this song “Strengthen Me,” during the Sabbath of August 22, accompanied for the first time by both his children, Ralph on guitar and Arielle on keyboard. Just a couple of weeks after Ralph began learning guitar chords, mom Vivian had no idea the music she selected from Sally DeFord's collection was way beyond beginner's level, but wonder of wonders, both their children were blessed to rise in joyful offering...
